{"id":319,"date":"2016-11-08T19:45:17","date_gmt":"2016-11-08T19:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nordykecreative.com\/design\/?p=319"},"modified":"2016-11-08T19:45:17","modified_gmt":"2016-11-08T19:45:17","slug":"a-visit-to-adobe-max-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nordykecreative.com\/design\/2016\/11\/08\/a-visit-to-adobe-max-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"A Visit to Adobe MAX Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>It&#8217;s been a long time coming!<\/h2>\n<p>Wow, after a career in design for more than 20 years, it&#8217;s kind of hard to believe I&#8217;d not yet made it to the top creativity conference in the world&#8230;#AdobeMAX. The information is overwhelming at times, but overall it was an amazing experience. I&#8217;ll try to summarize a very experiential environment and some of the top take aways I&#8217;ve gleaned, but I may have to revise this post or come back and elaborate on some of the finer details.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t tell you how good it felt to be part of the international creative community. Together we have the power to change the world&#8230;and it&#8217;s truly electrifying to be in the presence of 10,000 creatives from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>For the creative professionals out there who may not have been able to make it, I&#8217;ll try to summarize:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sans-Serif typography is a current trend in the business world, and typographic logos dominate for startup and enterprise.<\/li>\n<li>Responsive design is necessary and here to stay, as many stats have up to 60% of page views on mobile.<\/li>\n<li>While still photography is still relevant and necessary, the trend toward video and motion content is a trend that is on fire right now.<\/li>\n<li>360 Video and Live Video are going mainstream, and the creative directors who get that are going to come out on top.<\/li>\n<li>The Banner ad as we know it is dead, but creative ways to entice clicks in context, and then engage your prospect into a narrative of story, and an interactive experience, is going to be the best ticket for conversion and customer generation.<\/li>\n<li>In social advertising, you have about 2-3 seconds to engage your viewer, and when you&#8217;re using video, captioning is imperative if your video doesn&#8217;t captivate on the narrative alone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I&#8217;ve still barely had time to completely digest some of the content, so I&#8217;m sure more is to come here.<\/p>\n<h3>Full first day Keynote<\/h3>\n<p>Check out the full first day Keynote and incredible #impactvideo on YouTube here:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pf35qphKOWE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Keep on creating!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been a long time coming!
